Watching your favourite TV shows from home is fun – but watching them live and in person is even better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve seen the rows of screaming fans on shows like Britain\u2019s Got Talent, The Voice and Saturday Night Takeaway\u2026 but did you know they were there for free? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s pretty easy to get tickets too, so you could be waving to your folks back home from the small screen pretty soon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s everything you need to know about free TV audience tickets, and how to get them.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is in the deal exactly?<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When big name TV programs are filming live or pre-recorded shows, an audience really helps to boost a show. It helps the comedians, presenters and actors bring the energy, having people to bounce off of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s almost that a TV audience is as important as the show itself – which is why they need bums in seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What better way to get people to come a watch a taping, than to offer tickets for completely free? That\u2019s what nearly all TV shows do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three different websites that offer free tickets to shows, and they\u2019re updated regularly when new shows come around to record. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The websites are called Lost In TV, SRO Audiences and Applause Store. All of them work in the same way, and it\u2019s worth bookmarking them for any new updated shows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, they are booking tickets for shows like Beat The Chasers, Loose Women and the Britain\u2019s Got Talent Semi Finals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s pretty easy to book. Just select a date that you\u2019d like to attend, and you\u2019ll be placed into a pool for free tickets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a catch though – it\u2019s not guaranteed that you\u2019ll be issued tickets for your chosen show. You\u2019ll find out usually well in advance of the date whether you\u2019ve been successful however. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only thing you\u2019ll need to do once you\u2019ve got tickets, is make your own way to the studios where it\u2019s filmed. Most fillings take place in either London or Manchester – but a few happen in other parts of the country too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why should I care?<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re a big fan of a show – it can be such a cool experience to go and see if recorded live and in person. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also makes a cool and unique present\/day out for someone, that doesn\u2019t cost you any money, other than your transport there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>\u2019s the catch?<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are a few obstacles that make this deal not as straight forward. Obviously, there\u2019s no guarantees that you\u2019ll be allocated tickets, but if you do manage to get your hands on some, it\u2019s still not a guarantee you\u2019ll get in.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for recordings are usually over subscribed to make up for no-shows. Some of them are over subscribed by a lot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you do get some tickets, it\u2019s a good idea to get to the studio an hour or two before the scheduled door opening time. There will likely be a queue which you\u2019ll have to wait in\u2026 if there\u2019s not, then you\u2019ll likely be front row and first in the queue! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What other options do I have?<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you didn\u2019t fancy a trip to the studios to see a TV recording, you can always watch it from home where it\u2019s warmer and easier to see the screen! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also sometimes find shows advertised for tickets on the BBC and ITV websites – so have a look out for those. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
